NEW EP: NEW BELL MUSIC PRESENTS JOVI IN KANKWE (VOL.2)

While waiting for Jovi's album #MBOKOGOD, Jovi graced us with an EP entitled Kankwe 2.0. It is a follow up to his EP that was realeased in 2013. The project is dedicated to Manyi-Arrey Fred  the junior brother of Social influencer/ Designer William Takor. The label's (NewBell Music) website had this to say about the project:

"Jovi releases his second EP, “Kankwe Vol. 2.” The 5-track EP is produced by one of the continent’s most original producers of African hip hop, Le Monstre. The EP features two new songs, as well as the recently released “Big Vulture,” featuring RCHL, and his hit songs, “CASH” and “Et P8Koi.” Staying true to his unique sound, Jovi mixes African instruments and rhythms, with hip hop beats, American trap, pop, and rap in English, French, and Pidgin. The “Kankwe Vol. 2″ EP is available for free download on bandcamp. “Kankwe Vol. 2″ is a follow-up to Jovi’s “Kankwe Vol. 1″ EP released in 2013. Jovi is currently working on his second full-length album, “Mboko God,” which will be released later this year."

New Video: Jovi Feat Rachel - Big Vulture

Jovi just released the visuals the his well received song #BigVulture. It was shot and directed  by long time collaborator Ndukong Betrand. A lot of people have commented over the last couple of days that the video brings the song to life. The video also pays tribute to Cameroonian Soldiers who lost their lives while fighting Boko Haram militants in the northern part of the country. Enjoy the video below..  #hiphop237

GASHA FEAT STANLEY ENOW - BLACK I AM

It's always good to see two industry heavy weights collaborating on a song. Gasha and Stanley decided to work together on the song Black I Am for the Guinness project. Gasha seems to be stepping out of her deep soul-esque songs and going more into the happy feel type of songs. The internet so far has reacted positively to the song. Listen to the song below. Best Music seems to have a lot of talent under its belt. Boy Cheez who is affiliated to the label just popped out a very interesting song. Don man is hip and hop in a Camer way. Full of dexterity and bars. Listen for yourself.

GASHA FT EDDY KENZO – CHILL

After being quiet for some time Gasha returns with a solid song featuring Uganda's prolific singer Eddy Kenzo. The duet was initially recorded in the United states last year during the Afrima Awards. Chill is produced by Dijay Pazzo and has Cameo appearances from Magasco, Ebangha Njang, T Pana and Many more. So far the songs reception has been very good. Oya trend!!

BIG VULTURE BY JOVI FEAT RACHEAL (Prod LeMonstre)

When Jovi drops we expect nothing short of perfection and he delivered as expected on this epic track. The song confronts "haters" and people who take time to talk about him negatively. He places himself above such feedback and advises others to do the same as seen in the hook delivered by NewBell's Vice president Rachel Burke. Jovi goes in with Franc-anglais and bridges the gap through his lines between the languages ( English, French and Pidgin). Its no secret that Jovi is arguably the best rapper in Cameroon.
